I am an Associate Professor
in the Institute for Theoretical Computer Science
at the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics.
I am originally from Songkhla, Thailand.
I completed my Ph.D. from the McGill University in 2014
under the supervision of Prof. Adrian Vetta.
At the McGill University, I was a member of the
Discrete Mathematics Group.
After the completion of my PhD, I had a complicated arrangement with several
postdoctoral positions.
I first joined IDSIA as a postdoctoral researcher
under the supervision of
Fabrizio Grandoni,
while also taking part in the Simons-ICORE fellowship program.
I joined the
Simons Institute for the Theory of Computing
as a research fellow twice in Fall 2014 (Simons-ICORE) and Fall 2017 (Simons-MPI).
I spent two years at the
Weizmann Institute for Science
from October 2015 to July 2017
under the Simons-ICORE joint fellowship program, hosted by
Uriel Feige and
Robert Krauthgamer,
and I spent roughly two semesters at the
Max-Planck-Institut für Informatik
under the Simons-MPI joint fellowship program, hosted by
Kurt Mehlhorn
before officially joining SUFE.
My research interests lie in the intersection between approximation
algorithms, hardness of approximations, parameterized complexity
and fine-grained complexity.
Shortly, I am interested in (but not limit to)
understanding the interaction between the
running time of algorithms and the approximation guarantees ones
can achieve with perhaps dependency on parameters of an input.
For more detail, please see my CV.
